The Challenge

One of our clients came to us with a common challenge faced by many e-commerce businesses - ensuring that their product pages were optimized for conversions. Specifically, the client was struggling to identify and resolve errors in their primary call-to-action (CTA) buttons, which were critical to driving sales. With a vast catalog of products available in more than 160 countries, our client needed a scalable and efficient solution to quickly identify any issues with their CTAs and address them before they impact sales. The Solution

To help our client overcome the challenge, we developed a custom crawler that extracts all critical data from their product pages and performs a thorough analysis to identify any issues related to the primary CTA buttons. The crawler was designed to review every page and flag any errors, such as broken or missing CTA buttons, inconsistent product information, or other issues that could impact conversions. 

To prevent overloading the server with excessive HTTP requests we took a targeted approach to crawling the product pages. Rather than crawling every page, which could have negatively impacted the website's performance with hundreds of thousands of requests, we selectively crawled a smaller subset of pages each day. To identify the most important pages to crawl, we extracted data from Adobe Analytics, enabling us to pinpoint the most frequently visited pages on the client's website. By focusing our crawling efforts on these high-traffic pages, we were able to maximize the effectiveness of our monitoring system and ensure maximal conversion rates.

With our custom solution in place, the client's product pages are now being monitored on a daily basis. This ongoing monitoring ensures that new issues are promptly identified, while existing problems are resolved promptly and effectively, helping businesses ensure that their product pages are always optimized for conversions, driving more sales and increasing their online success.
